What is enoki mushroom?

Enoki mushroom is a type of mushroom that is very popular in Asian cuisine and is a popular ingredient for sushi rolls. And it can be eaten raw or cooked. It is a super healthy veggie that is great for different diets. Since it is a great source of antioxidants, Vitamin B, and dietary fiber.

One more inquiry we ran across in our research was “What are enokitake mushrooms?”.

The wild mushrooms are found naturally growing on the stumps of the enoki tree, and they are also known as enokitake or enokitaki. The mushrooms are golden to dark brown in color, with a dense velvety growth on the lower part of their stems, which leads some people to call them Velvet Foot mushrooms.

Enoki mushrooms are at their best when used in East Asian dishes such as soups, noodle dishes, stir-frys, and salads. They can be eaten raw or cooked  but should be cleaned prior to usage.

However, the cause of the color contrast between the wild and farm enoki mushrooms is from its cultivation. Where the wild enoki gets exposed to light and an environment where it is CO2 rich. Hence it enables the stems to grow longer.

How to cook enoki mushroom sauce?
